Terms of Service
Effective date: July 11, 2026
These terms govern your use of Sarta, the maintenance tracking service at sarta.online. Sarta is operated by its founder as a sole proprietorship ("we", "us"); you can reach us any time at hello@sarta.online. By creating an account or using the service you agree to these terms. If you use Sarta on behalf of a company, you agree on that company's behalf.
The service
Sarta lets landlords and property managers collect maintenance requests, track work orders, and keep repair records. We may add, change, or remove features as the product evolves. If a change materially reduces what your paid plan includes, we will email you at least 30 days before it takes effect.
Your account
- You must provide accurate information and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for activity under your account.
- Workspace owners control who can join their workspace and what happens to its data.
- You must be at least 18 to create an account. (Tenants who submit a request through a workspace's public form do not need an account.)
Plans, billing, and cancellation
- The Free plan is free, within its published limits.
- Paid plans are billed monthly through Stripe. Prices and plan limits are listed on the pricing section of our site. If we increase a price, we will email you at least 30 days before the new price applies.
- You can cancel any time from the billing portal in your workspace's billing page, or by emailing hello@sarta.online. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for, and your workspace then moves to the Free plan — your data is kept, but features and limits revert to the Free tier.
- Payments are non-refundable: when you cancel, you keep your paid features until the end of the current billing period instead of receiving a refund for the unused time. If you believe you were charged in error, email us and we will make it right.
- If a payment fails, Stripe retries it automatically. If payment continues to fail, your subscription may be cancelled and your workspace moved to the Free plan.
Your content
- You own the data you and your tenants put into Sarta — properties, tickets, photos, records. You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive license to host, store, copy, process, display, and transmit that content solely to operate, secure, and improve the service. This license ends when the content is deleted.
- You are responsible for the content in your workspace, including having the right to upload it and handling tenant information lawfully. Our Privacy Policy describes how we process it.
- You can export your ticket data (CSV export is available on paid plans) and can request deletion of your account and workspace at any time. Deletion is completed within 30 days, except records we must keep for legal or billing reasons, as described in the Privacy Policy.
Acceptable use
Don't use Sarta to break the law, infringe others' rights, distribute malware, send spam, harass anyone, or attempt to probe or disrupt the service or other workspaces. We may suspend or terminate accounts that do.
Copyright complaints
If you believe content hosted on Sarta infringes your copyright, email hello@sarta.online with the content's location and evidence of your ownership, and we will review and remove infringing material promptly.
Availability and support
We work to keep Sarta fast and available, but the service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. Support is provided by email at hello@sarta.online.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or business, arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose (or $50 if you paid nothing). Sarta is a record-keeping tool — landlords remain solely responsible for their legal obligations to tenants, including repair timelines and habitability requirements. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Termination
- You may stop using Sarta and delete your account at any time.
- We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. Unless the violation makes it inappropriate, we will give you a chance to export your data: for 30 days after any termination you can email us for an export of your workspace data before it is deleted.
- If we ever discontinue the service entirely, we will email account holders at least 30 days in advance so you can export your data.
General
- Changes to these terms: if we change these terms materially, we will update the effective date above and email account holders before the changes take effect. Continuing to use Sarta after that means you accept the new terms.
- Severability: if any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.
- Assignment: you may not transfer your agreement to these terms without our consent; we may assign it as part of a sale or reorganization of the service, with notice to you.
- Force majeure: neither party is liable for delays caused by events beyond its reasonable control.
- Entire agreement: these terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and us about the service.
